F.A.Q
What is included in the charter?
All trips include fishing licenses, fishing tackle, rods / reels, cooler with ice, cleaning of fish (within regulations), bait, all USCG safety equipment, and local knowledge of the waters of Tampa Bay.
What should I bring on the day of the trip?
Hats, Sunglasses, food and drink (cooler with ice will be provided), and sun block (preferred non spray).
How long does the trip last?
Well, that depends on the trip you choose. We offer 3 types of tours, for fishing such as a 4, 6, and 8 hours in length trips. Length of trip would include pick up and back at dock time. When picking up, we will be baited up and ready to go fishing once you step on the boat.
Can we keep our catches?
Although we practice catch and release on our trips to ensure a healthy fishery, if at times you would like to bring home something to eat, we will allow you to keep within regulations of your catch and also clean it for you at the end of the day.
What kinds of fish will we catch?
We like to target certain species during certain times of the year to give you the best experience possible and to ensure you will catch something. If you do prefer a certain inshore species just notify us in advance and we will do our best to fulfill that bucket list request for you. The types of species we normally target will be, all but not limited to, Redfish, Snook, Trout, Jack Crevalle, Spanish Mackerel, Tarpon, Snapper, Grouper, Pompano, Sharks, Triple tail, Cobia, and Sheepshead.
How many people can we bring on the trip?
Our USCG license allows us up to 6 passengers, however for fishing we have a 4-person limit to fish. Please notify us in advance the number of persons coming so we can prepare for the day. Also, we do organize corporate gatherings for networking and also large parties over the limit of persons. For trips like this we network with other top captains of Tampa Bay to get you guys out on the water and have a good time. For these types of events please notify us in advance so we can find captains that will be available for your chosen day.
If bad weather is expected for our chosen day will there be a refund?
Our number one goal is safety, after that it is putting you on fish. If mother nature happens to interfere with our plans and the captain feels the weather will not hold out, then we will cancel the trip and a refund will be provided if rescheduling is not an option. However, if it will be just a light rain here or there, the captain will let you know in advance and the choice will be up to you. Do keep in mind with those light rain and prefrontal day forecasts it makes a great time for fishing because the fish can feel the barometric pressure change which trigger them to eat but again, we will advise you the day before your trip and you can choose.
Where is the pickup location of our trip?
We fish all over Tampa Bay, so depending on where the best bite will be at and also giving you the most time to fish will determine the location. Under our Fishing Charters tab on the upper part of website you will find a google maps directions list to get you to where you need to be the day of the trip. You will see several locations we utilize, and you will be notified the week of your trip which one we will be using for your day. Some examples will be the Courtney Cambell, Gandy, Williams Park, Davis Island, Fort Desoto, Hula Bay, The Getaway, and Maximo Boat ramps.
How do we pay for the trip?
You can either pay through our website when choosing your trip or you can call and book your trip with a 150-dollar deposit to secure the date. We accept credit cards, Payal, Venmo, or cash.
